Memorial Day Freebie....

hiya..

I dont know if any of my newer friends know that I have a
"Memorial Day"  freebie in my archives..I'm going to put the
link for it under this post so you can get it easily.  The thing is
there is an element in the package that says......
"Memorial Day 2008", you can if you want select around
the square where it says 2008 and paste a picture in its place
or...what I was going to do is turn it into a flag..its up tp you.

Mother's day freebie

Hello

Long time..no post...right?  Well, its been quite a few
months for me..it just wasnt a great few months as far as
electronics go...the computer I did my work at died, so I
started to use my laptop..within a couple of weeks, the laptop
all of a sudden got Alzheimers.....it didnt reckonize the
Operating System...so I sent it out to be fixed, while it was
being fixed,  my clothes dryer died..sounds ridiculous, right?
well..thats me..the "ridiculous" always finds me..yes me!
So I pick up another laptop while waiting for my other one,
I start it up and when it loaded, I realized I didnt have any
of the programs I use on it!  The thought of going thru collecting
and installing all that I use really made me loose my mind.
 I ended up loosing my creativity, I would sit at the computer
and start putting something together, but I would end up deleting
it all cause I just didnt feel right about what I created. 

I guess some get "writers block"..I got the case of
"creators block". No matter how many times I sat here,
it just didnt speak to me. 
But..I finally was able to come up with something and I
am so happy that it came in time for Mother's Day.

Studded wire Butterflies

Hi gang!

Welcome to August! So far weather has been
decent. A little hot, but not humid. I hope you
all are staying comfortable where you are.

One if my "night visitors" has been hanging
around more than normal, in fact, he's been
basically livingng on my porch with the stray
cat! He made himself right at home, but I was
a little worried because of how many hours
he spends there. Well, this morning I found
out. The poor little critter got hurt, one of his
back paws and one of his front paws appears
to be hurt. He really has a hard time walking
around. My friend who is a police officer is
coming by tomorrow and will call whoever
it is that she deals with when coming across
hurt or sick animals. I hope the little bugger
will be able to be set out again and not have to
be put to sleep. You know there are so many
people out here today that think nothing of
having their dog chase down a a wild animal,
and it makes my blood boil! I dont want to rant
on about this, so I will leave it at that : )

Evening gang,

Tell me, where does the time go?????
Its like you wake up, work and get home,
and I look at the clock and its 10 pm!
Geez! Why is it that we get slower and
not time?...Hmmmm...Life..its a quirky
thing! OK..here's 2 sets of corners which
is a one part of what I originally wanted
to post. To me, it reminds me of stain glass.
And if you run them thru the Hue/Saturation
and Lightness, they change color nicely, so
go and color if you want a different color.

Here are the "Pretty Paper" embellys..

Hiya everybody!

here are the embellys to the Pretty Paper
kit. There are charmholders and snowflake
charms..(a couple of plain, a couple glass, and
a snow covered flake. I left the charms seperate
so you can put whatever flake you want on any
of the holders. There are 3 types of one holder
and I added a wire holder as well. I added 2
holders with the flake added on it already for
those who dont know how to put them on the holder.
There are corners in here too, you can resize them
as needed. There is a glitter strip and gold 2007 and
2008 to use as word art or even charms
So I am hoping you like these, cause when you see
the papers...whoa!

In with the papers is a 2 layered .psd paper, for
those who dont know, you can open a .psd file in
Paintshop. The other papers are in jpg. I am just
about done with the papers..I thought I was done,
but...lol thats me! I will give more info tomorrow
about the papers. For now..here are the embellys:

Welcome to...2008!

Hiya

I hope you all made it thru New Years Eve!
Its so nice to see you here. I want to find out
how the DigiFree blog works as far as the pic
previews are concerned. I would like to just use
the slideshow to showcase the freebies, but I am
not sure how DigiFree would pick it up.
I saw on Maria's site that she is away visiting,
so I dont know if she would even have the time
to answer that question. Its just that I cant stand
when the bandwidth runs out and I get all those
"Upgrade Now" place holders. I do have Flickr
and Imageshack and I could go back and forth
using them, but all these accts, the file sharing
accts and the photo accts will drive me nuts!
So I have to figure outsoemthing. If anyone has
any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. The Good
Lord knows I could use them!

Big Bunch embellys freebies!

A Different Christmas Poem

The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light,I
gazed round the room and I cherished the sight.
My wife was asleep, her head on my chest,my daughter
beside me, angelic in rest.Outside the snow fell, a blanket
of white, transforming the yard to a winter delight.
The sparkling lights in the tree I believe, completed the
magic that was Christmas Eve. My eyelids were heavy, my
breathing was deep, secure and surrounded by love I would sleep.
In perfect contentment, or so it would seem, So I slumbered,
perhaps I started to dream.The sound wasn't loud, and it wasn't
too near, but I opened my eyes when it tickled my ear, perhaps just a cough,
I didn't quite know. Then the sure sound of footsteps outside
in the snow. My soul gave a tremble, I struggled to hear, and I crept
to the door just to see who was near.
Standing out in the cold and the dark of the night, a lone figure stood,
his face weary and tight.
A soldier, I puzzled, some twenty years old, perhaps a Marine, huddled
here in the cold. Alone in the dark, he looked up and smiled,standing watch
over me, and my wife and my child. "What are you doing?" I asked without fear, "Come in this moment, it's freezing out here! Put down your pack, brush the
snow from your sleeve,You should be at home on a cold Christmas Eve!
For barely a moment I saw his eyes shift,Away from the cold and the snow blown in drifts..To the window that danced with a warm fire's light. Then he sighed
and he said "Its really all right, I'm out here by choice.
I'm here every night so that your family can sleep without fright.
It's my duty to stand at the front of the line, that separates you from the darkest of times. No one had to ask or beg or implore me, I'm proud to stand here like my fathers before me. My Gramps died at 'Pearl on a day in December.
Then he sighed, "That's a Christmas 'Gram always remembers.
My dad stood his watch in the jungles of 'Nam', and now it is my turn and
so, here I am. I've not seen my own son in more than a while, but my wife
sends me pictures, he's sure got her smile. Then he bent and he carefully
pulled from his bag, The red, white, and blue... an American flag. I can live
through the cold and the being alone, away from my family, my house and
my home. I can stand at my post through the rain and the sleet, I can sleep
in a foxhole with little to eat. I can carry the weight of killing another,
Or lay down my life with my sister and brother who stand at the front
against any and all, to ensure for all time that this flag will not fall.
"So go back inside," he said, "harbor no fright, Your family is waiting and
I'll be all right. "But isn't there something I can do, at the least, "Give you
money," I asked, "or prepare you a feast?It seems all too little for all that
you've done, for being away from your wife and your son. "Then his eye
welled a tear that held no regret, "Just tell us you love us, and never forget.
To fight for our rights back at home while we're gone, To stand your own
watch, no matter how long. For when we come home, either standing or dead,
To know you remember we fought and we bled.Is payment enough, and
with that we will trust,That we mattered to you as you mattered to us.

"PLEASE, Would you do me the kind favor of sending this to as many
people as you can? Christmas will be coming soon and some credit is due
to our U.S. Service men and women for our being able to celebrate these
festivities. Let's try in this small way to pay a tiny bit of what we owe.
Make people stop and think of our heroes, living and dead, who sacrificed themselves for us.

I have been trying to get the Christmas kit
done..but everytime I think I am finished,
I am not..I have to stop experimenting with
ideas while finishing a project, I foul myself
up because I end up liking it better than what
I originally decided what the project was going to be!

kit has changed, added to, and recolored..sheesh!
I am probably going to get so disgusted, that I am

Hiya..a quick post for ya tonite,
its been a couple of days and I wanted
to get this to you...they are 36 dragonflies
in asst. colors and patterns. I am sure you all
are accustomed to how I do my embellies : )
I love all colors and patterns and I try to make
enough in all colors so that there is something
for everyone. I hope you all like these.
