Chalboards and alpha freebie

hello everyone

First I want to thank jazzyjec for giving me the heads
 up on the links to my files,
I cant express my appreciation enough..
When she told me about not being able to download some files, I went to see what
was going on..all my files on 4shared are now saying only I can download them..why?
I dont know..it wasnt like that before they re did their site..I contacted them letting them
know about this problem, these are all my files since 2007...I was able to download only 1
file after that when I clicked on the download button to get another file..nothing happened.
So I noticed there "Priority" download, if you download their download helper theres no wait,
well I did and the box opens up and gives you a choice of installing the Delta Toolbar or
keeping what you have...well heads people...that thing does what it wants, after clicking to
keep what I have...it installed Delta anyways..I dont like when something thinks it can take
over your browser or computer...Im very upset..I shouldnt be hijacked to have acces to my
own files and neither should you.  Im going to try my best to grab what files I can and upload
 them to another host and replace links, so please bear with me. I apologize for any inconvienance.

 I was without a computer for a time so I wasnt able to post anything...when it rains it pours, doesnt it!
In fact Im using a borrowed laptop as I type. So Im limited by the programs and filters/plugins I use.
But back in January of this year, just before another hand-me-down computer died on me, I had made
A chalky alpha and chalkboards. With the chalkboard link, it should take you to the page and you
should see 2 links there, one link is for a chalkboard that is for 8x10, the other link has 4 chalkboards,
 1 "clean" blackboard and 1 "dirty Blackboard  1 green "clean" chalkboard & one "dirty". By dirty, I mean
where its smudged to look like the board was erased.
I hope this makes up for your time and patience..you all mean alot to me.
Hopefully Ill be able to resolve the issues with the files..otherwise 6 yrs of work are gone.
I not counting on them resolving this.. Please...............
If any of you should happen to have any files saved, please contact me so I can post it for others.

Neon Alpha Freebie

hiya everyone..

 I made this neon looking alpha, I put a slight drop shadow
 but you can still add a shadow how you like,  You can add
 a "glowing effect" by using the drop shadow effect in your
program by clicking on the lighter (bright) green from the alpha,
and set it directly behind the alpha, usually at  0 and 0, then you
blur it until you get the effect you want.  You can of course color
it to suit your needs, it changes colors nicely.  It will of course look
better on a darker or dark background for best effects. 
I think it will also come in handy especially with Halloween right
around the corner.  I'd really love to see how you end up using this
alpha. Perhaps it will help others on how it looks.

Alpha Freebie.

Hiya Gang,

I have a simple and plain white
alpha today, yeah, the cold weather
seems to have effected my artwork (LOL)
This alpha will look good and stand out on
just about any paper background. You can
select around either the inside of the white
and fill it with a color, or just select the alpha
and fill it that way.
If you are not certain how to do this, then
here's what you do:

1)..Open alpha and using your magic wand
start clicking around either upper or lower
case (as if you are making a circle around it)
when you are just about close to finishing your
circle, double click the magic wand and it will
finish the circle for and your letter will be selected.

2)..with your letter selected, copy and paste it onto
your LO/Tag etc. If staisfied, close the original
alpha image, it will ask if you want to save any
changes before closing, so click "NO", this way you'll
have your plain white alpha for another project.

3)..Do that with each letter that you want to use for
your LO. Once you've gotten what you want on your LO,
Hide all your layers including your background EXCEPT
the layers containg the alphas. And Merge Visible.
Once you do that you will have whatever word you
put together on one layer (OK?)

4)..Make sure you're on the alpha layer and using your
magic wand click on the inside of the shape of each letter.
EX: if there's an "O" you're going to click in the inner
part of the "O", not on the letter itself. Once you
do that with all the letters that have those "closed"
areas, you then click anywhere on the blank background
you will see the marching ants surrounding your letters,

5)..Go up to the menu area and click on the Select/Selections
and click on either Inverse or Invert. You should now have
all your letters selected. If you see only the letter selected and
not the inner part selected then just undo your last action and
click on the part that wasnt clicked on and then do the Invert/
Inverse thing again and it all should be selected.

6)..Using your bucket fill with a color/gradient/pattern. Or...
use one of your plugins.

7)..Deselect, and unhide your layers and continue making
your wonderful LO..!!!

I hope I explained it OK for the ones who dont really
know how to do the "selection" thing.
If you should have a problem, then please email or post
what effect/color etc and I will do it for you..ok?
